Andrés (or you can call me Andy) owns Andrés Romero Portrait in Salt Lake City. Andrés is an award winning and nationally published photographer with work seen in the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Andrés attended Johns Hopkins University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience, with a focus on cellular and molecular mechanisms.

Despite a love of science, Andrés always had artistic pursuits because of the support from his mother - a lifelong painter. Andrés took one too many film, writing, and humanities courses at Hopkins and decided against medical school just before applying.

He’s been an artist ever since - with the meticulous studying habits of a former medical student prospect and the creative thirst of an artist who found his calling.
